Creating a video can be as complex or as simple as you would like it to be. iMovie makes it simple to create a powerful slideshow. I'm going to show you how simple creating a movie can be!
Begin by opening iMovie
With iMovie, create professional-looking videos without an editing degree. Easily add photos and videos to projects, trim clips with your finger, add seamless transitions, and fade audio like a pro. Here's the procedure for transferring a 'Live' photo taken on an iPhone 6 on to a Mac and then into iMovie or Photos as a movie file: Connect your iPhone to your Mac using a USB cable; Open 'Photos' on the Mac. Select your phone icon should be under a grey 'Import' title in the sidebar. Select the 'Live' photo(s) and import them.
Go to File>New Movie
Select the theme you would like, I always choose 'No Theme'
Name your Movie
Should now look like:
Open the images you would like to create a slideshow from. I like to have all of mine ready to go in order in its own file. I then select all and drag them into my new movie.
Each image defaults to 4 seconds each. You can increase/decrease this allotted time simply by dragging the edge of each image.
By double-clicking each image, you can adjust how it plays in your video.
'Fit' means the image will appear as shot and black out the sides to fit.
'Crop to Fill' means the image will fill the full view of the movie, but parts of your image will be cropped…this is especially so on Portrait images.
'Ken Burns' means you can select a start point and and end point for your image to zoom. I think this can be a very effective option if used properly.
If desired you can choose Transitions such as fade, dissolve and blur to the next image. Adobe photoshop cs windows.
Simply select the desired transition and drag between the two images you would like. Double-click the transition between the images to adjust the duration or 'apply to all' images.
Select 'Titles' to add a title screen or a black screen between images (I'll use this option before/after the movie).
Add a music track to add a dramatic feel to your movie by selecting the audio track and dragging it into your movie. (Be sure to use non-copyrighted material or purchase a license for the audio you use! I recommend musicbed.com).
I like to choose a song that fits the length of my video. You can scroll to the end of the movie to see how much time needs to be add/removed from the movie to make it fit. Slightly adjust the length of your images from there.
Once complete, go to File>Share and choose how you would like to export the video.
Add Title, Description, and META Data from there and you're all set!
